I’m Robert Hanzel from Hungary. I started to work with bees ten years ago. I love my job, I do it independently. Now I work with one hundred family of bees, in a nice natural environment. I am a wandering beekeeper. My goal is the best quality, not the quantity. Proves this , that my linden honey won the best linden honey aword of 2022 in Hungary. In Hungary we have a country honey test every December. I have already won more gold, silver or bronze awards with my honeys in Hungary. The honey is a perfect healthy food: it doesn’t need to add anything or to take away anything. The honey is just perfect.

Born in Tahiti, we moved to Aotearoa (New Zealand) in 2014. Stung by a passion for beekeeping back home, we decided to be part of the NZ honey industry. Over time our apiaries have grown throughout the local region, servicing local honey demands, now we are starting to export into Europe. My first touch with beekeeping was the distinctive smell of honey with wax in the apiculture laboratory of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where I was a student and it was this smell that awakened my love for the field. So, after finishing my studies, I decided to have my first five beehives in 2017 where I discovered this wonderful world of bees. My beehives are located in the forest areas of Chalkidiki, away from sources of pollution and intensive agriculture.
